Call for Fine Art Exhibition
The exhibition will also feature fine art categories. Artists should choose one
media category, which they feel, is representative of their work. Categories include:
painting, drawing, original prints, photography and photo-based work,
computer-generated or manipulated work, mixed media, sculpture and applied arts
(wood, metal, fiber, ceramics, glass)
Artists are not grouped by media category. To ensure a quality exhibition, juries consisting of artists and art professionals will carefully review all applications to the ISIMD'08 Art Exhibition. Originality in conception and execution, quality of workmanship, and excellence of design are primary criteria by which the submitted artwork will be evaluated.
Only original art forms will be considered for display. Reproductions of any sort,
including photo-lithos, postcards, and posters are not allowed in the exhibition.
The selection committee will ultimately consider acceptance. Decisions made by the
Selection Committee of the ISIMD'08 Art Exhibition are final.
Application Requirements:
- Professional-quality 35mm slide / CD (format must be defined) of the work.
Slide / CD should be labeled with the artist's name, title, medium, size, and an
indication of which way to view the work
- An artist statement and/or artist resume
- A signed completed ISIMD 2008 application form
- Print out an application form. Fill it in and return by fax or e-mail along with
your complete submission requirements before the August 1, 2008 registration
deadline.
The digital and fine arts works of exhibited material will be published in the
appendix B of the symposium proceedings. |
