Call for Papers
ISIMD'08 invites papers on one the following three categories:
- Applications
- Research
- Systems
All content must be innovative and relevant to the advancement of interactive
media design. Contributions focusing on the Symposium theme in the following
areas are encouraged but not limited to:
- Interactive Storytelling
- Interactive Design Tools
- Interactive Artwork
- Interactive TV and Video
- Interactive Computer Graphics
- Mobile Contents
- Video Electronic Culture
- Design Problems in Interactivity
- Content Tools and Interface Design
- Visual Communication Design Education
Submitted papers must be original and will be evaluated for their relevance to
the symposium theme and for their innovativeness. The committee particularly
encourages papers that employ novel theories, analysis methods or interactive
tools; papers that question, expand and/or provide interesting perspectives on
interactive media design/research and practice; papers that make use of creative
multi-disciplinary approaches.
- Papers should not exceed 5000 words or 20 double-spaced pages.
- The cover page of a paper should include a title, an abstract, keywords and phrases, authors' names, affiliations, plus a contact author's e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, and fax number. The information on the cover page must also be submitted by e-mail in a plain text file,
- Papers can be either submitted electronically by e-mail or sent on diskette/CD in PDF or in Postscript format.
- Papers must be submitted no later than the August 1, 2008. All submissions will
be reviewed thoroughly and promptly by the international paper committee; and the
comments will be returned to the authors. The papers presented will
be published in the symposium proceedings.
